Hi, my name is Stefanie,
I am a User Experience Designer who loves photography and has a passion for animal advocacy.

Through my photographs, I invite people to not just look, but to truly see each animal, and to recognize them for their individual personality. My hope is to inspire compassion and change, and to make the world a better place for animals.
All my photos are from the wild or from sanctuaries in the US, where the residents come first and are not “on display” to entertain the public.
I live in Berkeley with my partner, Michael, and our rescue cats, Jojo, Simon and Kissy. I also serve as a Board member with Cat Town Oakland, volunteer at my local shelter and do pro bono design work for animal welfare organizations.
In 2013 and 2014, I have spent a total of six months or 1,326 hours as a volunteer at Big Cat Rescue. Contributing to a cause that is bigger than myself was hard work, extremely rewarding and a truly life-changing experience.
I plan to return for another three months of volunteering in early 2018.
