When I first came to Tampa in February to interview for the internship, I learned that there was a plan to build a 2.5 acre vacation rotation enclosure where one cat at the time could take turns and spend a few weeks in. By the time I started my internship in September, the enclosure had been completed and a few of the tigers already had had the pleasure to spend some time there.

Last week, it was TJ’s turn. We all witnessed how he walked from his current enclosure through a tunnel into the “great wild open” and it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! Seeing this big tiger run, play, jump and enjoy life was wonderful and made us teary-eyed.
